(Those discerning readers who have purchased The Twits Chronicles, Anthology #1 already possess this jewel, and can chuckle knowingly at their fellow Twits.)

Well, I am chuffed! No one of my acquaintance would have wagered that these chronicles would reach seven volumes. The betting at the club was ten to one against, and my feckless cousin Binky lost his shirt when Twits on the Stump hit the stands.

This is a faithful account of my misguided attempt to run for public office. It was not a desire to do good that impelled me— it was love.

I discovered that politics is a dangerous game— not for the faint of heart. Once in, it is deuced hard to get out. Even my brilliant mechanical valet, Bentley, found it difficult to chart a path to safety.

Enter at your own risk. Some of your cherished beliefs about public service may be tarnished by this unvarnished account. As my opponent, Captain William Bligh’s family crest states: “Caveat Emptor”.

About TOM

Born in Canton Ohio and raised in a box made out of ticky-tacky, Tom Alan Robbins spent his youth as a middle-aged character actor. He has appeared in nine Broadway shows, including The Lion King in which he created the role of Pumbaa. He recently received a Grammy nomination for the cast album of Little Shop of Horrors. He has maintained a parallel career as a writer, penning scripts for TV shows like Coach and writing plays, one of which (Muse) recently won the New Works of Merit Playwriting Competition.

The Twits Chronicles series is his first attempt at novel writing and it has been a pure joy. He hopes to keep creating adventures for Cyril and Bentley as long as there are readers who enjoy them.

You can listen to an audio play based on Twits in Love below, or click HERE for more info. The All-Star cast includes Michael Urie, Christian Borle, Mary Testa and a slew of Broadway luminaries. TWITS was originally produced and distributed by Dori Berinstein, Alan Seales and the Broadway Podcast Network - the premier digital storytelling destination for everyone, everywhere who loves theatre and the performing arts.
